The 131st ASA Annual Meeting was held at The Boca Raton Resort & Club in Boca Raton, Florida with 529 physicians and 106 spouses and guests in attendance. Thirty-two outstanding papers were presented during the Scientific Sessions of the 2011 Meeting. During the Opening Session, four new Honorary Fellows were introduced: Dr. Dario Birolini of Sao Paulo, Brazil; Dr. Markus Buchler of Heidelberg, Germany; Professor Renzo Dionigi of Varese, Italy; and Dr. Xiao-Ping Chen of Wuhan, China.

The American Surgical Association is now accepting abstracts for the 132nd Annual Meeting at The Fairmont in San Francisco. Submit your abstract by the deadline of Tuesday, November 22, 2011; only electronic submissions will be accepted for consideration.
